Napoleon
Hill, a renowned motivational speaker of the twentieth century, once
wrote “If you can conceive it, then believe it, you can achieve
it”. In the year 1988, eleven men would conceive and believe in
the idea of Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity. These men were dedicated to their
community and their success as members of an organization which believed
in being men of mind, culture, and pride. Since the founding of our
organization, many of our brotherhood have moved on to become leaders
in the classroom and in the professional world.
NAK is more than a fraternity
to many of us. The name reminds us of the brotherhood that was our university
experience. It evokes the memories of road trips and stories that have
been passed down the classes as our chapters have continued to prosper.
NAK is our successes and our struggles. NAK is what each and every one
of us is. Nu Alpha Kappa belongs to all of us because each and every
one of us impacts the organization with our personality and our experiences
as brothers of the fraternity.
Our organization
has succeeded and made an impact at our respective campus’ and
communities, but there is more to be done. We, the members of the NAK
Executive Board, are asking you to join us in advancing the cause of
our beloved brotherhood. We are asking you to commit to donating during
our current fundraising drive. As little as twenty dollars a month will
have a profound impact to our organization. You are asked to donate
as little or as much as you can. If you are unable to contribute financially,
please consider donating your time to important events such as rush,
the bone marrow drive, NAKFEST and many of the fundraising and volunteer
activities that the chapters and board are involved in.
A brother
from the Alumni Association will be contacting you in the near future
via email or phone to determine if you can participate in our fundraising
drive.
In Brotherhood,
